Created for riders seeking a more immersive, social, and culturally rich experience, this edition of the Nevados Powder Session is based exclusively at Nevados de Chillán, one of Chile’s top ski destinations, known for steep volcanic terrain, deep snowfall, and outstanding off-piste skiing. It’s best suited for advanced to expert skiers and snowboarders seeking lift-assisted powder laps with optional backcountry opportunities when conditions allow.

The trip places you in the heart of Las Trancas, a vibrant mountain village surrounded by forest, wood cabins, and local life. Fly into Concepción, stop for a private wine-country tour, then settle into your boutique lodge.

Ride daily via private shuttle, enjoy nightly group dinners in local restaurants, visit natural hot springs, and explore incredible off-piste terrain—volcanos, chutes, open powder bowls, and long runs—with a certified local guides.

This is the best way to connect with the local community while riding Nevados de Chillán.

What to Expect

• Group Type: Join a fixed-date departure as a solo traveler or small group. Scheduled tours require a minimum of 3 participants to run. Mixed groups may include some variability in ability, which can influence terrain choices, so private groups are recommended for those seeking a perfectly matched level.
• Location This tour is based exclusively at Nevados de Chillán, one of Chile’s premier volcano ski destinations, known for its steep terrain, deep snowfall, and unique off-piste opportunities. The resort offers good lift access, strong freeride terrain, and excellent mountain services.
• Terrain The trip focuses on lift-assisted resort skiing and riding, including groomers, off-piste, and advanced freeride terrain. Backcountry options are available when conditions and group ability allow. Expect open bowls and long runs and incredible views. 
• Ability Level This tour is best suited for advanced to expert skiers and snowboarders with good fitness, comfortable riding steep, variable snow and off-piste conditions typical of Nevados de Chillán.
• Equipment Backcountry gear (beacon, shovel, probe, and touring or splitboard setup) is strongly recommended for guests who want the option to access terrain beyond the resort boundary. Rental equipment may be available with advance notice.
• Guiding & Hosting You will be hosted by an experienced certified local guide throughout the trip. Guide ratio is 1:4, with a minimum of 3 guests and a maximum of 6, ensuring a personalized small-group experience.
• Transportation Daily commute to and from ski resort (5 miles)

Itinerary

Day 0 – Optional Arrival Night (Not Included)

Fly into Concepción a day early and check into the Holiday-Inn Express to rest before the expedition begins.

Day 1 – Arrival, Wine Country & Las Trancas Check-In

Meet your driver at Concepción airport (CCP). Enjoy a scenic wine-country visit with optional tasting. Continue into the Andes and check into your lodge in Las Trancas. Dinner out as a group at a local restaurant.

Days 2–7 – Ski, Shuttle & Local Culture

Daily breakfast at the lodge. Shuttle to Nevados de Chillán for full ski days.
Explore groomers at your own pace or join the local guide for volcano views, side country, and classic tree lines.
Return to Las Trancas each evening for group dinners at different local restaurants — a great way to connect with community and experience real Chilean mountain culture.
One afternoon is dedicated to the natural hot springs, included in the trip.

Day 8 – Final Meal & Return Transfer

Final breakfast in the village. Optional morning walk or coffee stop.
Drive back toward Concepción and enjoy a final local meal before your departure flight.
