Overview

Designed for advanced and expert riders who want the best of both worlds, this Pacific-to-Andes Expedition blends glassy southern Chile surf with deep Nevados de Chillán snow. Start on the coast with front-row surf access, fresh seafood, and local shoreline exploration. Then transition into the Andes, settling into Las Trancas — a lively mountain village surrounded by native forest and volcanic peaks.

With surf sessions tailored to swell & conditions, expert ski/snowboard guiding, a wine-country stop, natural hot springs, visits to local markets, and evening meals in curated local restaurants, this trip gives you the most authentic, weather-optimized, culture-rich experience in Southern Chile.



What to Expect

Group Type: This is a private group experience starting at 2 participants. Small-group add-on fees apply for lower guide-to-guest ratios. We also accept individual sign-ups ahead of time, and will place guests to the best of our ability to match skill levels.

Location: Surf and snow adventure is based in the Ñuble Region, Chile, combining Nevados de Chillán skiing with coastal surf in Cobquecura. Surf conditions range from chest-high to solid overhead, with mushy to hollow fast point breaks and variable swell. Ski terrain includes lift-assisted off-piste, resort freeride, backcountry and sled Assisted BC Country. Location and Itinerary will be conditions and weather dependant

Ability Level:

• Skiing/Snowboarding: Advanced backcountry 
• Surfing: Advanced surfers,  comfortable paddling and duckdiving in 6-8ft swell 
• Rafting: All levels welcome.

Terrain & Conditions:

• Snow: Open bowls, chutes, and variable off-piste terrain at Nevados de Chillán.
• Surf: Variable coastal conditions, from fast point breaks to hollow waves; variable all-condition .
• Rafting: Suitable for beginners to advanced paddlers.

Equipment:

• Backcountry skiing/snowboarding gear (beacon, shovel, probe, touring or splitboard) recommended for off-resort terrain.
• Surfboard rental available but limited; bring your own board if possible.

Guiding & Hosting:

• Experienced certified guides lead all snow, surf, and rafting activities.
• Private, small-group focus ensures personalized instruction and attention.

Itinerary

Day 0 — Optional Arrival Night (Not Included)

Fly into Concepción a day early and check into the Holiday-Inn Express to rest before the expedition begins.

Day 1 — Arrival to CCP + Drive to Coast + Sunset Surf

Meet at Concepción Airport (CCP) before midday.
Drive 2.5 hours to your surf-front lodge.
If conditions allow: sunset surf session.
Group dinner featuring local seafood.

Days 2–4 — Surf Southern Chile + Mini Ramp Nights

Morning surf check with your guide.
Explore the best waves for the day—points, reefs, or beach breaks.
Visit local fishing villages and shoreline lookouts.
Evening mini-ramp or pump track session (optional but encouraged).
Group dinner each night.

Day 5 — Last Surf + Drive to the Andes (Wine & Cheese Stop)

Early morning surf.
Scenic drive toward the Andes.
Wine & cheese tasting at a local vineyard + Chillán Market stop.
Arrive in Las Trancas and enjoy a group welcome dinner.

Days 6–8 — Ride Nevados de Chillán (3 Days On Snow)

Daily breakfast.
Shuttle to and from the mountain.
Off-piste lines, volcano views, and tree skiing with your local guide.
Evenings at curated village restaurants.
Fit in one afternoon at natural hot springs during the best weather window.

Day 9 — Ski or Optional Rafting Day + Farewell Dinner

Short ski day or Optional Rafting day to Nuble River 
Early Return to the lodge to pack and unwind.
Farewell dinner in town.

Day 10 — Chillán Market + Departure to CCP

Breakfast + Early departure + Lunch at Restaurant Along the way. 
Stop at Chillán Market for gifts and local produce.
Drop-off at Concepción Airport or nearby hotel.
