This immersive 9-day, 8-night trip is based in the vibrant mountain town of Las Trancas, with all lodging centralized in the village for easy access to après, local culture, and hot spring recovery.
Whether you're looking to lay tracks in untouched backcountry terrain, throttle through snow-covered valleys on a snowmobile, or carve through resort steeps and sidecountry stashes, this trip offers the freedom and structure to do it all — and do it well.

This trip is designed for advanced to expert snowboarders and skiers who want to explore beyond the resort boundaries. You should be comfortable on varied terrain and excited about adventure — but you don’t need to be a pro. Backcountry and snowmobile activities are professionally guided and group-paced. Touring gear is recommended for backcountry days (splitboard or touring skis), though rental options may be available.

The Experience
Las Trancas is our home base — a lively alpine village tucked in native forest at the base of Nevados de Chillán. Each day you’ll head into the mountains with experienced guides, and each evening you’ll return to a cozy lodge with great food, local beer, and access to town. This itinerary is built to balance serious time on snow with moments of cultural connection, recovery, and celebration.
Lodging
You’ll spend all 8 nights at one of our trusted partner lodges in Las Trancas. Each offers:
- Ensuite bathrooms with twin or king-bed options
Mountain views and walkable access to bars/restaurants - Cozy shared spaces, hot tub, outdoor relaxation areas, common kitchen.
Lodges may include Roble Viejo or Entre Rocas, based on group size and availability.
Lodge Roble Viejo
Lodge Roble Viejo is a new addition to Las Trancas, conveniently located in the heart of Las Trancas. The lodge features comfortable rooms with private bathrooms and double occupancy setups that can be arranged as either two twin beds or a shared king, accommodating up to 16 guests. Amenities include an on-site brewery perfect for après-ski and evening gatherings, and a cozy lounge where breakfast is served daily.
Entre Rocas
Entre Rocas is a cozy mountain lodge and boutique hotel nestled in the heart of Las Trancas, within walking distance of restaurants. Surrounded by native forest and volcano views, the property offers warm hospitality with a mix of rustic charm and modern comfort. Guests can relax in spacious, double/twin occupancy rooms with a private bathroom. The lodge has common areas including a fully equipped kitchen and wood-fired hot tub.

Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Chile
- Arrival at Concepción (CCP) Airport by 11am.
- Group pickup and scenic drive to Las Trancas (approx. 3–4 hours)
- Stop for Chilean wine tasting and artisan cheeses en route
- Check into your lodge in La Trancas
- Welcome dinner at the lodge
Day 2 – Resort Recon + Safety Briefing
- Breakfast at the lodge
- Resort day at Nevados de Chillán to get your legs under you
- Avalanche safety refresher + terrain orientation
- Optional soak in the hot springs or local bar hangout
Day 3 – Snowmobiling Session #1
- Full-day guided snowmobile tour into less-traveled zones
- Explore glades, bowls, and viewpoints few visitors ever reach
- Evening free to enjoy town or relax at the lodge
Day 4 – Backcountry Touring Day #1
- Full-day guided splitboard/ski tour in a hand-picked zone
- Earn your turns through alpine bowls and forested descents
- Recovery session at natural hot springs (optional)
Day 5 – Resort Day or Optional Rest
- Return to the resort for some classic lift-served freeriding
- Option to rest or go solo exploring mellow tree runs
- Midweek hosted dinner with the group
Day 6 – Snowmobiling Session #2
- Another full-throttle day exploring remote terrain via sled
- Guide-chosen zones based on group interest and snowpack
- Evening open to explore Las Trancas’ dining options
Day 7 – Backcountry Touring Day #2
- Second guided touring day to a new zone
- Opportunity for summit missions, weather dependent
- Optional hot tub session or fireside beers back at the lodge
Day 8 – Final Resort Day & Farewell Dinner
- Return to Nevados de Chillán for your final day of shredding
- Hit your favorite lines or explore new ones with your guide
Group farewell dinner to celebrate the journey
Day 9 – Departure
- Late breakfast and lodge checkout
- Cultural stop at Chillán Market en route to airport (time dependant)
- Airport drop-off at Concepción by ~1:00pm
